Your photo is read once and gone.

Photos
When you use the reader, your browser resizes the photo and sends it once to our server, which forwards it to an AI vision provider (Anthropic) for analysis and returns the result to you. We do not save the photo, a thumbnail, or any copy of it on our servers, and the result is not linked to the photo. The resize step removes the metadata phones embed in photos, including location.
The vision provider processes the image to produce the analysis and, under its API terms, does not use it to train models. Photos are not retained by us for any purpose.
What you type
The optional facts you enter (which shoe, distance, surface, niggles) are sent with the photo to produce the read and are included, in shortened form, in the share link you can choose to create. Nothing is stored server-side. If you do not share the link, nobody else sees the read.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and referrers without cookies and without building a profile of you. We do not run advertising trackers.
Affiliate links
Some links to retailers are affiliate links. If you click one, that retailer may set its own cookies on its site under its own privacy policy. See our affiliate disclosure.
Abuse protection
To keep the free reader free, requests are rate-limited by IP address for a short window. IP addresses are not stored beyond that window and are not linked to results.
